La conception de l&#039;\u00e9tude comprenait des composantes quantitatives et qualitatives. Une enqu\u00eate par questionnaire aupr\u00e8s d&#039;un \u00e9chantillon repr\u00e9sentatif de 1 140 m\u00e9nages a \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9e dans 6 comt\u00e9s s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s \u00e0 dessein (Montserrado, Grand Gedeh, Lofa, Nimba, River Cess et Grand Cape Mount). Les comt\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s pour couvrir une gamme dans le moment et l&#039;impact de l&#039;\u00e9pid\u00e9mie d&#039;Ebola dans diff\u00e9rentes parties du Lib\u00e9ria. La composante qualitative a \u00e9t\u00e9 incluse pour fournir un contexte social, une compr\u00e9hension collective et des d\u00e9bats \u00e9volutifs derri\u00e8re les r\u00e9ponses statiques \u00e0 l&#039;enqu\u00eate. Il s&#039;agissait d&#039;une s\u00e9rie de 28 groupes de discussion entre 224 hommes et femmes men\u00e9s \u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s \u00e0 la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode dans les six m\u00eames comt\u00e9s. Les groupes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 divis\u00e9s selon le sexe et la r\u00e9sidence urbaine-rurale, avec des groupes suppl\u00e9mentaires pour les personnes exer\u00e7ant des professions lib\u00e9rales.
